In 2010 there will be over 1 million psychic readings done by phone alone….and it’s one of the fastest growing parts of the "New Age" movement. As a matter of fact, some studies say that over 75% of the world population now believes in psychic readings…compared to less than half, only a short 20 years ago.
So why has there been such a dramatic shift to believing psychic abilities are real?
In my view, it’s largely due to the large amount of positive press lots of famous psychics have gotten over the last decade. With popular TV shows celebrating the success of GENUINE psychics and mediums, and many of these same psychics getting their own prime time television programming, the truth about authentic psychic skill has become a mainstay of the mainstream media.
And while it’s true there ARE lots of less than genuine psychic readers out there, anyone who IS paying attention to some of the better ones will have a difficult time explaining some of their amazing abilities….(often displayed LIVE on television in front of millions of viewers)for sure!
But what about telephone psychics? Are they are GOOD as those who offer readings in person?
The truth? I think they are often better! Why? Because phone psychics don’t have the benefit of "cold reading" cues. There is no body language to study. There are no hand movements, eye rolls or even the subtle signs we ALL give off in common conversation. Even how you dress, or look can be a "tell" or giveaway to a psychic……even if they don’t want or need the help!
The truth about telephone readings, in my 2 decades of psychic study is this…….
Telephone readings are the MOST difficult to do! Therefore……psychics who operate ONLY by phone tend to be far better, than those who operate in person only. And the truth is….science BEARS this out! As a matter of fact, some studies done of famous psychics and mediums have illustrated that the BEST psychics, are almost the ones who do their readings exclusively by phone.
Without any ways to "cheat" or use cold reading techniques, the psychic is left to use ONLY their natural abilities, and they sink or swim on supernatural skill alone!
Are telephone psychic readings worthwhile? If I want a genuine psychic reading, should I go see someone in person…..or can a phone intuitive be an equally good choice? In this article we are going to take a quick and insightful look at telephone readings, and why I STILL believe they are amongst the best choices for most people who want an easy, and affordable reading at their convenience.

As a matter of fact, most serious research into psychic abilities, predictions and readings is actually done over the telephone. And here is why!

One of the most common "objections" put forth by skeptics, especially after a particularly good reading, is this: The psychic "read" the body language of the client. The intuitive GUESSED based on physical characteristics, age related "tells", or even socioeconomic giveaways that can only be gleaned in person. For example, how heavy someone is, how they are dressed and quite unfortunately how the LOOK…can be quite revealing and helpful for someone who wants to use "cold" reading as a mechanism to get information.
On the telephone…all of this stuff is "muted", and is far more difficult to fake. Someone may SOUND rich, or poor….or dressed impeccably well or even overalls, but without the sense of "sight", it’s super hard to cheat and just guess.
So what happens, most serious psychic researchers discover, is that telephone readings tend to offer the BEST opportunity for a genuine psychic to show their stuff! And quite often….they really do! Many of the most famous psychics in the world do the majority of their readings by phone alone…and for this very reason, are often looked upon as more reputable than the "parlor" psychics who tend to work best with someone in person.
In the end…you have to do what’s most comfortable for you……
But if you are looking for a genuine psychic, and don’t want to travel half way around the globe to get one that you like, I’ve found the telephone to be a happy medium for sure! (no pun intended..:-)
