How to Tell if a Psychic is Lying

Who else wants to learn how to tell if a psychic is lying?

If you are anything like I used to be, one of the biggest concerns you have BEFORE getting a psychic reading is learning how to tell if you are being lied to, deceived or just taken advantage of during a reading.

And the truth is, after almost 20 years of being "read", I can honestly tell you that most psychics are honest, legitimate and truly WANT to help you see the "light" of truth.

But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t a subset of sneaky, manipulative and even down right DECEPTIVE psychics out there, and if you truly want to get great readings, you simply MUST know how to identify them.

Filed Under: The Con of Cold Reading Exposed

The most nefarious approach to psychic manipulation is through cold reading techniques. What are they? Very simple, yet subtle manipulations that are pretty easy through studying your body language, voice inflections, eye movements, and other subliminal messaging methods that we ALL give away in conversation.

For example, a skilled cold reader who purports to be a MEDIUM may JUMP from name to name…..first letter to first letter, to try to ascertain someone you may know who is deceased, and is "there" trying to contact you.

Or…they may use your age, or sociological background, or appearance, to try to "guess" who you are there to contact.

They may try to lead you…or guide you into revealing more information about yourself than you’d like…thereby giving them a wider window into "reading" your energy, or loved one’s who have passed, or past or future potentials as well.

The truth?

While these things DO happen, in my experience, they are rare. Most people are inherently pretty good…and in the psychic field, the vast majority of intuitive’s, empathic’s, clairvoyants and sensitive’s really DO want to help you and are NOT there to take advantage.

That said….you should always be on the lookout for the signs above, including those who WON’T let you give "yes or no" answers, or who ask a whole bunch of seemingly silly questions in an effort to glean, or gather information about your life. (the chances are…if they need to do this, they AREN’T really psychic, and are simply lying, deceptive or deceitful about their work)
